Remember when watching a movie in three-dimensional was a huge deal for movies in the theaters? Now the way media is viewed could be changed forever. CNN wrote and article about how 3D TV’s are the new rave. Sony and Panasonic reported that they will release home 3D television systems in 2010; and other company’s such as Mitsubishi and JVC are said to be working on similar products.
I feel that 3D TV’s will change the way home viewers will watch television forever. Sport games will also be broadcasted in 3D which will make the viewers feel as though they are in the arena and stadium watching the game live. For the first time in the history of the FIFA World Cup, the action on the field will be broadcasted in 3D. FIFA announced that they will be teaming up with Sony to show this technology. The 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa is also said to deliver up to 25 matches in 3D.

I think it’s great that viewers will soon be able to have 3D capable TVs available in their homes. However, the only downside I see is that people recently made the switch to Hi-definition and it seems as if the 3D feature has emerged too soon. I am not sure how many people will be willing to pay to upgrade their TV systems that maybe have been changed less than a year ago, especially with the current economic situation. I personally would not mind upgrading. I would love to see the world cup in 3D because as a soccer player/fan I know I won’t be able to physically attend the event in South Africa and it would be great to see the games in the best quality possible.

I feel the same. I think the transition from HD to 3D is a bit soon but this is exciting nonetheless. I remember how I thought it was such a big deal to watch movies in 3D when I was younger but soon, it’s going to become the norm. I wonder what’s going to be next.

Careful with your AP style! Plural of TV is TVs, for example.
